Lets Get Loud!!
Its Pink Friday
Hey blog family it has been a while, too long to be exact, but breaks are over and the week of finals are upon us. The semester has come and go and so has the year. This semester hasn't been easy but my music has helped when it came to getting through the day. Im sure everyone is familiar with the pink wig, very animated "barbie" by the name of Nicki Minaj who has taken the rap game by storm. Her first album entitled Pink Friday dropped in November and has taken the record by the most albums sold by a female in ten years. Switching accents, hair colors and musical styles the album is not what i expected, I thought she would screaming in her usual rants and facial expressions that matched but I was surprised to see that she does do any of that at all. Very nice selection of songs and her lyrics have meaning. My personal Favorites are Fly ft Rihanna, save me, and Moment for Life. Be sure to check them out.

Rick Ross Reponses to Latest Grammy Snub
Although he's been passed over for the second consecutive year by the Grammys, Rick Ross is taking his latest snub in stride.
The outstanding lyricist was excluded from this years nominations, despite the success of the certified-gold release Teflon Don and street smashes like Blowing Money Fast and MC Hammer. When MTV News caught up with Ross at Power 106's Christmas Party he made known that he had no beef with the recording academy. He gave props to his peers who received nods. Despite being overlooked for the second year, Ross shrugged off the issue saying that winning a trophy is another goal he can focus on.
"As far as me, I feel like it's something else for me to work towards," Ross add.
As far as nominations goes, I understand where Ross is coming from. I'm not a big fan of Ross because I've heard better rappers, but that's just my opinion. Although, he's not terrible and other people like him. As a hard working individual and rapper, he should at least be nominated for an award whether he wins or doesn't win.

cHrIs BrOwN & BoW wOw RoCk THANKSGIVING CoNcErT iN ATLANTA!
Another Holiday is approaching and celebrities are celebrating to lift the holiday spirit of their fans. On Tuesday, Chris Brown and Bow Wow performed a free concert in Atlanta to start the holiday festivities. Chris Brown, fresh from head to toe, in his grey tailored suit with pearly white kicks, performed his single off his Graffiti album, "I Can Transform Ya." He danced, he sang, giving his fans the show of a liftime; just what they needed to celebrate the THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. Also, in attendance, to lift the spirit of beloved hip hop fans was Bow Wow. The Young Money MC too rocked the house as he perfomed along side Chris Breezy as they performed, "Shorty Like Mine." Chris Brown asked Bow Wow to perform with him and Bow Wow immediately said yes with no hesitation. "It was only right that I came out to support my homie Breezy, and besides It's for a good cause," Bow Wow said. Chris Brown ended the night with a public annoucement; "I'm putting out a lot of singles so everything is coming together. I'm working on a new album entitled, "Fame" so be looking that release real soon."
It truly is good to see artists such as Chris Brown, one of my favorite artists, and Bow Wow giving back to the community. This a was a free concert and was enjoyed by all who were in attendance.
Do you think they did this out of the kindness of their hearts or they were forced to do it by their producers or managers to create public image for themselves?

Nicki Minaj Opens Up about Grandmother Who Raised Her
The world renowned female hip hop artist from Trinidad, Nicki Minaj, was interviewed for a forthcoming MTV News Documentary, "My Time Now," which will be aired Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 10 p.m. on MTV. The room flooded with tears when the young hip hop diva was asked about her grandmother who raised her before she emigrated to America. Minaj struggles to maintain her game face as she says her grandmother would be so proud of her achievements and the beautiful woman she has become. As a child in Trinidad many parents have no choice but to separate from their children due to work or other circumstances. Her parents moved to New York leaving her behind with her grandmother. When she was old enough to leave she too went to New York. She moved in with her parents and found out they were having serious domestic issues. Her parents constantly argued. She recalls her dad initiating most of the arguements. She later revealed that her father was a crack addict. In the film, cameras document Minaj's return to Trinidad for the first time in seven years after becoming a successful female rapper. When she reconnected with her family she took them on the adventure of a life time, lavishing her loved ones with shopping sprees and other gifts. She gives her grandmother all the credit and thanks for molding her to the woman she is today in her parents absence.
This is truly a touching story. Most artist have a hard time sharing personal information such as this or they choose to just keep it to themselves. We truly commend Ms. Minaj for sharing this information with the world. She is a strong black woman and the sky is the limit for her. She will truly continue to prosper in her career and I will continue to admire her beauty and lyrical talent.

dRaKe DeNiEs GeTtInG pUnChEd By LiL wAyNe
After Lil Wayne and Drakes reunion on Saturday reports have show that there is drama in the Young Money Camp. However on Friday Drizzy shot down rumors that he got in any altercation with Wayne.
Drake annouces, "Wayne punched me in the arm because he saw a VW beetle pass by," Drake tweeted, joking about bordem road-trip game punch buggy.
This article is too funny to me. It is funny how the media will take a story and make it seem everything it is not. These two artist are at the top of their industry of course they may compete for the top position but they will never physically fight
