Lets Get Loud!!

LOUD
After the situation with Chris Brown Rihannas music just wasnt appealing to me anymore, maybe because I liked Chris Brown so much. Aside from that I wondered where her career would go after all the negative media attention her past relationship caused. Her fifth album dropped November 16th and was entitled Loud which is what the beats and tempos of most the songs were. Collaborations with Eminem, Nicki Minaj and Drake are sure to put her songs in heavy rotation on the charts. With title tracks like S and M which show her "freaky side" to Fading which shows how she grows tired of a person to Raining Men which features Nicki Minaj which shows that they are not worried about a guy, its to many of them. I can listen to this Cd from track one to the last track.

Its Pink Friday

Hey blog family it has been a while, too long to be exact, but breaks are over and the week of finals are upon us. The semester has come and go and so has the year. This semester hasn't been easy but my music has helped when it came to getting through the day. Im sure everyone is familiar with the pink wig, very animated "barbie" by the name of Nicki Minaj who has taken the rap game by storm. Her first album entitled Pink Friday dropped in November and has taken the record by the most albums sold by a female in ten years. Switching accents, hair colors and musical styles the album is not what i expected, I thought she would screaming in her usual rants and facial expressions that matched but I was surprised to see that she does do any of that at all. Very nice selection of songs and her lyrics have meaning. My personal Favorites are Fly ft Rihanna, save me, and Moment for Life. Be sure to check them out.

Rick Ross Reponses to Latest Grammy Snub

Although he's been passed over for the second consecutive year by the Grammys, Rick Ross is taking his latest snub in stride.

The outstanding lyricist was excluded from this years nominations, despite the success of the certified-gold release Teflon Don and street smashes like Blowing Money Fast and MC Hammer. When MTV News caught up with Ross at Power 106's Christmas Party he made known that he had no beef with the recording academy. He gave props to his peers who received nods. Despite being overlooked for the second year, Ross shrugged off the issue saying that winning a trophy is another goal he can focus on.
"As far as me, I feel like it's something else for me to work towards," Ross add.

As far as nominations goes, I understand where Ross is coming from. I'm not a big fan of Ross because I've heard better rappers, but that's just my opinion. Although, he's not terrible and other people like him. As a hard working individual and rapper, he should at least be nominated for an award whether he wins or doesn't win.
